David Baker

It is with great sadness that we report the recent death of David Baker.

David was for several years an Owners’ representative on the Committee but because of illness did not put himself forward for re-election when his term of office ended in October of last year. David always worked hard in the interests of owners and his enthusiasm and extensive business skills have been missed. David’s wife Linda and family are in our thoughts.

The 2010 Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday 22nd October at the Macdonald Elmers Court Resort, Lymington. 2009 AGM draft minutes are now available in the private owners area.

Doña Lola has again received the prestigious Interval International “Premier” award placing it in the top 20% of Interval International affiliated resorts world wide.

Villacaña, Leila Playa & La Ermita were all awarded the coveted “Select” resort status.

The II resort grading is based upon Interval members exchange score reports that monitor service and quality levels as well as resort facilities, in addition to a yearly inspection by II.

The Owners Committee meets normally four times during the year, the next meeting will be held at Elmers Court on 20th October 2009.

Committee meeting minutes are not published but any owner can view a copy when on holiday at the resort.

There are three owner representatives of the club committee each serving for three years with one retiring in rotation each year. The retiring member is eligible to stand for re-election. Any owner is eligible to stand for election, nominations accompanied by a curriculum vitae must be submitted by 1st July preceding the Annual General Meeting. We currently have a vacancy on the owners committee, to express an interest or for further information please contact the committee.
